Peer to Peer Affinity Group 

First-ever affinity group for nonprofit personnel of color in Westchester, created in response to NPW’s racial equity report, which highlights “supporting people of color to lead” as one of four key issue areas essential to building anti-racist systems.

Chaired by Dr. Alexandria Connally, NPW's Racial Equity Consultant, Lucria Ortiz, President & CEO of Yonkers Family YMCA, and Michelle A. Nicholas, SVP, Chief Diversity Officer and Director of Community Development at PCSB Bank.

Who should attend: BIPOC in the nonprofit workforce. 

When: The affinity group will meet bi-monthly typically on Fridays.

Cost: NPW Members – $25 per person; Non-members – $40

People & Process Affinity Group

This affinity group will help participants address challenges of running a non-profit organization: Human Resources, Finance and Operations.

Chaired by Chuck Newman, President and Managing Partner of Charles Newman Co., and facilitated by Cora Greenberg.

Who should attend: Open to organizations and businesses in these functional areas.

When: The affinity group will meet three times a year.

Cost: NPW Members – $30 per person; Non-members – $45

Small Nonprofits Affinity Group

This affinity group will help participants address the unique challenges and opportunities facing small nonprofit organizations.

Chaired by Tania Weiss, Executive Director of Cancer Support Team and facilitated by Cora Greenberg.

Who should attend: Senior staff of organizations that have 12 or fewer employees or budgets of less than $1.5 million.

When: The group will meet three times a year.

Cost: NPW Members: $30 per person; Non-members $45

    NPW Disabilities Roundtable

    The NPW Disabilities Roundtable was established in response to concerns expressed by member organizations related to common needs and opportunities as we began to emerge from COVID-19. The Disabilities Roundtable develops short-term and long-term strategies to advance and/or strengthen shared advocacy issues, and collaborates to support programming and initiatives that support access and opportunity for people with disabilities, across the spectrum of physical, intellectual, developmental and cognitive disabilities.
