May is Mental Health Awareness Month and NAMI Westchester traditionally hosts and participates in many activities throughout Westchester that build awareness of the importance of supporting mental health.
NAMI Westchester has made certain that even at this time of physical distancing, people with mental illness and their families are not alone; NAMI Westchester is still in our community to help and provide hope. Although it is currently not possible to gather in a public way, NAMI Westchester knows it is critically important to support mental health, as an increase in mental health symptoms are increasing at this time.

NAMI Westchester is an affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness. All NAMI Westchester members become members of NAMI-NYS and NAMI national, which amplifies our voice for advocating on issues that impact people living with mental health and family members. NAMI is the nation’s largest grassroots organization dedicated to improving the lives of people who have mental illness and their families. We provide education, support, resources and community awareness through presentations, events and multi-week programs.
