These past four months, organizations have tested many previous assumptions about service delivery, operating when clients and staff are facing unprecedented circumstances, and keeping an organization afloat amidst decimated funding sources.

The question for all organizations now is: How do I leverage what I learned during this pandemic at a time when the benefits of planning or the consequences of not planning are foremost on all stakeholders’ minds?

This workshop will present a way to approach and ingrain continuity planning in an understandable way, with a focus on ensuring equity when structuring the planning process and developing related policies.

    Key Takeaways:

    • Approaching emergency and continuity planning in a way that is manageable, sustainable and addresses issues of equity
    • Understanding and incorporating key elements of continuity planning including decision-making, essential service delivery, communications and HR considerations
    • Conducting after action discussions and codifying lessons you learned during the pandemic

    Presenters:

    • Annie Grunewald, Grunewald Consulting
