Mutual of America 2021 Community Partnership Award - Applications due by April 1

Each year, the Mutual of America Foundation sponsors a national competition in which hundreds of nonprofit organizations demonstrate the value of their partnership to the communities they serve, their ability to be replicated by others, and their capacity to stimulate new approaches to addressing significant social issues.

Five organizations will be chosen for the Community Partnership Award. From this group, Mutual of America will award $100,000 to the Thomas J. Moran national award-winning program and produce a documentary video of that program, featuring the principals involved in its success. In addition, each of the four honorable mention recipients will receive a $50,000 grant.

NYSHealth Launches 2021 Special Projects Fund Request for Proposals

The New York State Health Foundation (NYSHealth) has a broad mission to improve the health of all New Yorkers, especially the most vulnerable. The 2021 Special Projects Fund Request for Proposals (RFP) is now available. Applicants must submit an online inquiry form to determine whether a proposed project fits the funding criteria. There will be one funding cycle for the Special Projects Fund in 2021. The deadline for the online inquiry form is April 21, 2021. Selected organizations will be invited to submit full proposals, with a deadline of June 17, 2021.

Shuttered Venue Operators Grant Applications open on April 8th

National Informational Webinar to Review Application Process on March 30th

The U.S. Small Business Administration is launching a splash page for the Shuttered Venue Operators Grant (SVOG) application portal today in anticipation of opening applications for the much-anticipated critical economic relief program on Thursday, April 8, 2021.

This economic aid will provide funding for live venues, museums, movie theatres and many more. The SBA will host a national informational webinar to highlight the application process from 2:30 to 4 p.m. ET on Tuesday, March 30, 2021. Those interested in participating can register here.

The dedicated SBA Website includes frequently asked questions, video tutorials and other SVOG details. To prepare in advance of the SVOG application portal opening on April 8, potential applicants should get registered in the federal government’s System for Award Management (SAM.gov), as this is required for an entity to receive an SVOG, and reference the preliminary application checklist and eligibility requirements. Please note, that whatever round of funding you may qualify for, you should start the application process.
