HEALTH CARE TALENT PIPELINE PROGRAM

 

The new Healthcare Talent Pipeline Program (HTPP) funded by Westchester County will train individuals to become a Clinical Medical Assistant or Medical Administrative Assistant. Successful candidates will earn a NYS approved training credential, receive job readiness training and be connected to leading healthcare partners in Westchester County. Join an industry with great career advancement opportunities. Support services and stipends available to those who qualify.

August 11: NPW's Emerging Leaders Program Alumni Group Kick-Off Event

 

NPW's Emerging Leaders Program Alums had a blast at the kick-off event of our new ELP Alumni Group last Thursday! The ELP classes of 2019, 2020, and 2021 enjoyed catching up and reconnecting. Special thanks to our amazing alumni chairs Jordan Cormier, Director of Programming, Youth Shelter Program of Westchester, Inc., and Dana Hysell, Project Relations Specialist, Westchester Library System for spearheading this effort to bring ELP alums together to foster continued collaboration and fun! Huge thanks to Wolf & Warrior Brewing Company for hosting us in their awesome space.

Arts Westchester has two new funding opportunities: Arts Alive and Voices for Change

Applications for the next Arts Alive grant cycle will open on Monday, August 15, 2022. This opportunity supports artists and cultural groups throughout Westchester and Rockland counties. Deadline for applications is Tuesday, October 18, 2022. The three Arts Alive categories are: COMMUNITY PROJECTS, INDIVIDUAL ARTISTS, ARTS EDUCATION GRANTS.

The Voices for Change grant opportunity seeks to support artists in creating new work through authentic community engagement that can lead to impact/change. Applicants will submit projects that include a collaborative component with a cultural, service, or community-based organization. Deadline for applications is Thursday, October 20, 2022.

Field Hall Foundation is now accepting Letters of Inquiry for its Winter 2022-23 grant cycle. The deadline for submitting an LOI is October 3rd, with grant decisions announced at the end of January 2023.

Grants ranging from $5,000 to $50,000+* will be awarded to pilot, expand and/or support programs and projects that directly impact the lives of low-income and vulnerable OLDER ADULTS and their CAREGIVERS in Dutchess, Putnam & Westchester counties.

Education Debt Consumer Assistance Program (EDCAP) RFP for New York State Non-Profit Organizations

The Education Debt Consumer Assistance Program (EDCAP), a program of the Community Service Society of New York (CSS), invites non-profit community-based organizations across New York State to participate in this Request for Proposals (RFP). EDCAP seeks to establish a statewide network of non-profits that can help individuals burdened by student loan debt in their respective communities. EDCAP anticipates awarding up to 20 contracts to organizations to provide direct consumer assistance to individuals with higher education debt, which includes federal and private student loans. The EDCAP contract will likely begin on October 1, 2022. Project grant, dates and potential for renewal are contingent upon a State award to CSS and receipt of State funding.

The Westchester County Youth Bureau invites eligible not-for-profit organizations (certified as tax exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code and in good standing with the NYS Charities Bureau) and local Youth Bureaus to respond to the 2023 – 2025 Invest in Kids Program (“IIK”) and NYS Office of Children and Family Services Youth Development Programs Request for Proposals. Interested parties may obtain the complete Request for Proposals (“RFP”) from the Westchester County website for RFPs at link: https://youth.westchestergov.com

Westchester County’s Department of Senior Programs and Services (DSPS) has issued one request for proposal (RFP) from qualified agencies for services that benefit seniors. Telehealth Intervention Programs for Seniors: This RFP seeks services for persons 60 years or older residing in Westchester County. These services will enable older persons to self-manage chronic conditions, avoid unplanned and emergency medical visits, and reduce medical expenses for the participant. This RFP has a due date of Tuesday, August 9, 2022. Information on this RFP is available at www.westchestergov.com/rfp
