SIGN ON LETTER FOR FEDERAL CHILD TAX CREDIT

SIGN ON Letter to Senator Schumer for Federal Child Tax Credit!
Take Action: Sign letter urging senate leaders to expand tax credits for working families

At a time when the price of essential goods and services such as food, childcare and housing are near record highs, many Americans are struggling to makes ends meet. For many children and families, last year’s expansion of the Child Tax Credit and Earned Income Tax Credit provided financial support that made it easier for families to afford these necessities. Although this historic policy achievement almost immediately lowered child poverty rates, it was only temporary.

We hope to gain your support in permanently expanding Child Tax Credit as soon as possible. Re-establishing the Child Tax Credit and Earned Income Tax Credit is a historic and significant chance to reduce hunger and enhance the nutrition, health, and the well-being of our most vulnerable children, youth, and families.

We are asking organizations to sign onto our letter by December 1st and urge Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer to include the expansion of these essential programs in the end-of-year budget bill.
