Advocacy Day in Albany

Nonprofit Westchester is a proud member of the Human Services Council, a coalition of nonprofits that advocates for New York’s human services sector. On March 8 (all day), HSC will hold an Advocacy Day in Albany to advocate for policies that impact the wages of human services workers - and we invite you to attend!

On Advocacy Day, you will join human services workers across New York for a day of speaking with lawmakers about a specific set of policies that impact the wages of the nonprofit workforce. The day will also include a press conference, lunch and tour of the Capitol. Advocacy Day is FREE to attend - HSC will provide lunch and bus transportation.

Join an NPW Committee!

NPW Committees are a great way to advance work that benefits the entire nonprofit sector in Westchester, and meet, connect and network with other NPW Nonprofit and Business Members.

Policy

Help us collaborate together to address issues that impact the nonprofit sector, the people we serve and the nonprofit workforce, and develop and educate the community, government and elected officials about NPW’s policy and advocacy agenda. 2023 will be a critical opportunity to advance issues related to equitable contracting for the nonprofit sector. Read the 2023 NPW Advocacy and Policy Agenda.

Marketing and Membership

Help us inform the community about the critical work of NPW and the nonprofit sector, and to retain and grow NPW membership.

Programming

Help us plan and strategize about the learning opportunities and networking events offered by NPW.

Disabilities Roundtable

The Disabilities Roundtable develops strategies to advance and/or strengthen shared advocacy issues, and collaborates to support programming and initiatives that support access and opportunity for people with disabilities, across the spectrum of physical, intellectual, developmental and cognitive disabilities.

Please find Committee dates and times HERE, and email Suzanne Gardos for further information or if you would like to join a committee.
