Last Wednesday, December 13th, over 50 participants joined us virtually to learn How to Identify, Prevent and Address Fraud Threats. The session was presented by Richard Vitale, Senior Vice President, Head of Investigations, and Assistant Director of Fraud Risk Management at Valley Bank.

Richard expertly shared essential strategies for recognizing, preventing, and skillfully managing fraudulent activities. Attendees gained invaluable knowledge and actionable steps to fortify defenses against financial threats, fostering a more secure operational environment.

Volunteer New York! proudly marked the ninth year of its Giving Tuesday Hat campaign in partnership with lohud and The Journal News with a Community Champions Networking Breakfast at Million Air in White Plains. The event showcased the true spirit of volunteerism, as attendees participated in a meaningful volunteer project, assembling 30 kits for the unhoused and under-housed, later donated to Lifting Up Westchester. The Healthcare Talent Pipeline Program (HTPP) funded by Westchester County will train individuals to become a Clinical Medical Assistant or Medical Administrative Assistant. Successful candidates will earn a NYS approved training credential, receive job readiness training and be connected to leading healthcare partners in Westchester County. New York State Council on Developmental Disabilities (CDD) Grant Announcement: Inclusive Transportation

The CDD is offering funds for localities throughout NYS to implement innovative transportation projects that support people with DD to better access their communities. Tier 1 applicants can apply for up to $10,000 to put towards improving transportation for individuals with IDD. Tier 2 applicants can apply for up to $50,000 to put towards improving transportation for individuals with IDD. Tier 2 projects will have additional reporting requirements. Application Deadline: Jan 15, 2024.

$150 Million New York Forward Loan Fund 2
