Nonprofit Westchester was thrilled to be a part of the Westchester County Association's Regional Career Fair on October 12th at the County Center with over 250 job seekers and 45 employers.
|
|
NPW staff met with many job seekers interested in work in the nonprofit sector and provided them with information about opportunities in the sector as well as our Nonprofit Job Board. The NPW Nonprofit Job Board currently has over 125 active job listings. Job seekers can upload their resumes to the portal and sign up for job alerts for free. NPW members employers can post jobs for free. For a small fee, opportunities can be highlighted and cross posted on the Google Job Network.

Information Sharing About Supporting the Asylum Seekers - Tuesday, October 17 at 10 AM
Nonprofits and faith-based organizations in Westchester County that are interested in supporting incoming asylum-seeking families and individuals in their settlement process are invited to participate in a meeting to communicate the information we have regarding the asylum seekers in Westchester on Tuesday, October 17 at 10 a.m. This meeting will be conducted via Zoom and registration is required.
We will hear from organizations that are currently working with the asylum seekers or working on efforts of support including: Catholic Charities, Community Resource Center, Make the Road, Neighbors Link, Westhab, Child Care Council of Westchester, and United Way of Westchester and Putnam. The Elias Foundation is accepting nominations for the 2023-2024 Activist Fellowship Program supporting Hudson Valley activists working towards local movement building in communities hardest hit by injustice and inequality. The goal of this program is to strengthen and build social justice movements in the Hudson Valley by developing local activists' skills and capacities.
