A full-day Mental Health First Aid Training for Nonprofit EDs, CEOs, Managers & Supervisors was held on September 13th through a collaborative effort between WJCS and NPW. 

This important opportunity taught participants how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among adults. Just like CPR for physical health, Mental Health First Aid equips people with the tools and understanding to respond to mental health challenges and crises. Thank you to the program instructors Paula Santa-Donato and Quaneisha Wilson.

Thank you Feeding Westchester for bringing the community together at the 2023 Agency Conference on September 14th to discuss strategies and sustainable changes to address hunger, health, and equity throughout Westchester County. Nonprofit Westchester was proud to be a vendor and support an organization that leads with collaboration and equity.

Nonprofit Westchester is proud to announce that our Executive Director, Jan Fisher has been appointed to Governor Hochul’s Not-for-Profit Contracting Advisory Committee. The Governor has accepted Senate Majority Leader Stewart-Cousins' recommendation and made this appointment.

The goal of the Committee is to report to the Governor and the Legislature with recommendations on improving the contracting procedures with not-for-profit organizations, which receive state funds. Learn more about the New York State Nonprofit Unit and the Not-for-Profit Advisory Committee.

Westchester Parks Foundation Trails Without Limits

Trails Without Limits serves residents with mobility concerns, who have previously not had access to any rustic or wooded trails of the County's many parks by utilizing all-terrain, electrically-powered wheelchairs at no cost to the rider.

$150 Million New York Forward Loan Fund 2

The Field Hall Foundation is now accepting Letters of Inquiry for their Winter 2023-24 grant cycle. The deadline to submit is October 3^rd and grants will be awarded at the end of January 2024. Learn more and find the LOI forms HERE.
