Nonprofit Contracting Task Force: September 18th

We are pleased to announce that the Westchester County Board of Legislators will launch the Nonprofit Contracting Taskforce on Wednesday, September 18th at 10:00 AM. The committee’s purpose is to promote methods to streamline Westchester County’s contracting process with nonprofit organizations, address issues related to timely procurement and payment and offer education and support to nonprofit organizations related to the contracting process. Legislator Jewel Williams-Johnson is chair of this task force, with Nonprofit Westchester Executive Director, Jan Fisher.

The Westchester County Youth Bureau 2024-25 Request for Proposals 

The Westchester County Youth Bureau is pleased to announce the release of the 2024-2025 Request for Proposals (RFP) for Youth Team Sports Programs and Youth Sports & Education Programs. Interested parties may obtain a copy of these Request for Proposals from Westchester County’s website for RFPs here

Requests for Clarification Due: 9/6/24 5:00 PM, Response Date: 9/11/24, Proposals Due: 9/20/24 3:00 PM

Youth Team Sports - This funding supports the operations of team sports programs for youth under the age of 18 years old. The Bureau invites eligible not-for-profit and community-based organizations to apply for funding up to $50,000 to provide opportunities for team sports programs. In addition to providing a recreational outlet for Westchester’s youth, team sports increase physical and mental wellness, develop social and leadership skills, promote teamwork and break down societal barriers.

Youth Sports & Education - This funding supports youth development through general sports programs (non-competitive) for underserved youth 6 - to 17-years old. Sports programs may encompass any organized activities with movement, including physical fitness activities such as yoga, hiking, dance, and active outdoor pursuits. The Bureau invites eligible local not-for-profits, municipalities, and/or local youth bureaus to apply for funding up to $25,000 for these essential programs. Detention facilities, residential runaway and homeless youth programs, and other congregate residential settings supporting disconnected youth are strongly encouraged to apply to offer opportunities to vulnerable youth in these settings.
