NPW Board of Legislators Budget Forum: October 25th

Thank you to the Westchester County Legislators for joining us at our 2025 NPW Budget Forum. We greatly appreciate your commitment to listening, collaborating, and addressing community needs, as well as improving the systems that enable Westchester's nonprofits to deliver essential services.

Jan Fisher, NPW Executive Director, opened the forum by outlining NPW’s Advocacy Agenda, which emphasizes the need for collaboration on equitable contracting and fair compensation for the nonprofit workforce at all levels of government. She also thanked the Westchester County Board of Legislators for their partnership in creating the Nonprofit Taskforce to improve the contracting process at the county level and offer support to nonprofits.

With a full room, nonprofit leaders passionately advocated for critical issues such as affordable housing, domestic violence, the digital divide, child care, the arts, and more. Thank you to NPW Policy Committee Co-chairs, Ronald Rosado Abad, CEO & Executive Director of Community Housing Innovations, and Jennifer Ryan Safsel, CEO of the New Rochelle YMCA, for facilitating a great forum.
