NPW UPCOMING EVENTS

September 12, 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM, WLS: Advocacy Learning Lab

There is a common misconception that 501c3 nonprofit organizations cannot engage in legislative lobbying or advocacy activities. This is not true. In fact, federal and state laws allow for these critical activities. Every nonprofit should know their rights and understand how to lobby and advocate to most fully achieve their missions and advance needed change.

EVENT RECAP

On Tuesday, July 16th, NPW's Human Resources Affinity group met for an engaging discussion on “From Boomers to Zoomers - Managing Generational Differences in Nonprofit HR."

We were so fortunate to have Jill Krumholz, Co-Owner and Managing Partner at RealHR Solutions LLC, present and lead this lively discussion.

The group shared great anecdotes, challenges, and suggestions, but one thing was clear by the end of the meeting: each generation has something to offer and learn from each other! Thanks to our co-chairs, HR Directors, Milagros Rivera of WJCS and Andrea Robinson of The Rye YMCA, and also NPW Affinity Group Facilitator, Cora Greenberg for putting this event together.

Thank you so much to our HR affinity group sponsors: Charles Newman Co.Webster Bank, and Levitt Fuirst Associates.

Only 23% of Americans are familiar with 988. Make sure all your friends and family know about 988 – available via call, text and chat. And learn about what NAMI is doing here.
