Hope's Door: Call to Action to Help the National Network to End Domestic Violence
|
|
Deposits into the Crime Victims Fund (CVF) remain lower than anticipated, and the $1.2 billion proposed by the House, the Senate, and in the President’s Fiscal Year 2024 (FY24) budget for the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) is a devastating $700 million cut. At this proposed funding level, thousands of victim service providers across the nation will be forced to lay off staff, cut programs, or—even worse—shut their doors. Join us in urging your Members of Congress to act now and share with them what potential cuts to VOCA will mean for programs and survivors. >> Learn More and Take Action

The NPW Member Advocacy Platform is a great opportunity for members to share information with the goal of creating awareness and potential action related to issues impacting the nonprofit sector, the people served and the nonprofit workforce. Submit your advocacy issues here and review NPW’s Advocacy Toolkit to learn how to successfully, and legally, lobby and advocate as a nonprofit.

Office of U.S. Senator Kirsten E. Gillibrand Fiscal Year 2025 Appropriations Update
The Office of U.S. Senator Kirsten E. Gillibrand provides the following update on the fiscal year 2025 (FY25) appropriations and Congressionally Directed Spending (CDS) processes. The office is now accepting applications for CDS and requests for programmatic appropriations for FY25. The deadline to submit requests is March 13 at 11:59 PM EST.
The forms for CDS applications and programmatic requests can be found here: FY25 Appropriations Requests - Kirsten Gillibrand. CDS Account Guidance PDF.
Congressionally Directed Spending Requests allow Members of Congress to request that federal funds be set aside for specific projects in their states. This is an opportunity for state, local, and tribal governments and nonprofit organizations to apply to obtain funding for projects that would benefit from one-time allocation of federal funds. Please direct all questions to appropriations@gillibrand.senate.gov.
