Nonprofits Power The Vote 2018 Information Session

  • September 27, 2018
  • 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM
  • MHA of Westchester, 580 White Plains Road, Suite 510, Tarrytown NY 10591

People who vote - no matter who they vote for - get more attention from their elected officials.

Nonprofits have a special non-partisan role to play in voter turnout. People encouraged by nonprofits voted at a MUCH higher rate than the average turnout for all registered voters. (72% vs 68%)

Nonprofits have also been particularly effective at increasing voter turnout among groups that are traditionally underrepresented in the electoral process such as people of color, young adults, those with less education and lower incomes. (Read more here.)

Your organization can plan something extensive involving all staff, or something as simple as a eblast reminding staff and colleagues to vote on election day. While the choice is yours, pick something!

Attend this half day meeting and get all the tools and resources you need to encourage voting among your clients and staff, including how to stay non-partisan and make it fun!
