All New Yorkers Will Be Able to Vote By Absentee Ballot

Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that he will be issuing an Executive Order allowing all New Yorkers to be able to vote by absentee ballot in the June 23 primaries.  Under New York State law, to request an absentee ballot, voters must have a qualified reason, including illness, for not being able to vote in person. Under the Governor's new emergency plan, the chance of contracting COVID-19 will be sufficient to satisfy the illness requirement.  Absentee ballots will have to be requested from the Westchester County Board of Elections.  We will provide more information as it becomes available from the Governor's office.
