On April 19th we will celebrate the accomplishments of a long-standing Bridges supporter, William Wardle, by presenting him with the Outstanding Vision and Commitment to Action Award.

William Wardle has been a champion of Bridges since 2007. Bill is an advocate of our health and education programming and has been a catalyst to encourage us to think outside of the box. Most recently, Bill’s enthusiasm for our work reengaged Bridges with a former partner, Building Goodness Foundation, to build our largest project to date – a 7,000 sq. ft. regional health clinic to address the health needs of over 18,000 rural Nicaraguans.

We will also be presenting the inaugural Excellence in Global Health and Social Responsibility Award to a special group of dedicated doctors, Board members, and Nicaraguan leaders that have shaped our health program and projects. Thanks to this group’s passion and expertise, we continue to improve familial health by building sanitary latrines, increase access to adequate healthcare by building health posts and clinics, assess and treat over 2,500 patients annually, and give volunteers global and rural health experience through our medical brigades.
