Groundwork Hudson Valley's Great Saw Mill River Cleanup
Site Activities and Instructions: Volunteers will be conducting vine cuttings under supervision, and garbage clean up along the shoreline and water using kayaks (Note: Volunteers must be 18+ to be in the water on a vessel, unless you bring your own).
Wear sturdy shoes (no flip-flops), long sleeves and long pants (to protect from ticks and poison ivy), bring gloves if you have them, and water. We will supply garbage bags, tools, and a limited amount of gloves.
Groundwork Hudson Valley was established in 2000 in Yonkers to help renew our urban places: building trails, planting trees, restoring rivers, turning vacant lots into gardens, and creating vibrant public places to revitalize the area’s most economically challenged neighborhoods.
