Join Planned Parenthood Hudson Peconic and Westchester County’s Women’s Advisory Council and Office for Women to view a short documentary and discuss the maternal mortality issue impacting women in New York and across the country. Our rates of maternal mortality are alarming and unacceptable, and New York currently ranks 30th out of 50 states in maternal mortality. Black women in New York are nearly four times more likely to die during pregnancy and childbirth than white women.
