Please join Ronald McDonald House at the Ernest C. Trefz Memorial Sporting Clays Invitational at Ten Mile River Preserve in Dover Plains, NY on Friday, August 23, 2019. The event will benefit critically ill children and their families in the Hudson Valley and beyond.
Ten Mile River Preserve offers world class stations for the sport of clay pigeon shooting. Often described as golf with a shotgun, the sport differs from skeet and trap shooting in that it involves shooting clays at various locations which are launched at different velocities and angles.
This 8th annual charity sporting clays event is named for the late Mr. Trefz (1932-2017), who was a noted businessman, philanthropist and best known for operating 44 area McDonald’s restaurants. He was the longtime CEO of the Trefz Corporation, a family property management business, and the namesake of the University of Bridgeport’s business school.
