The Boys & Girls Club of Mount Vernon will honor The View Host Sunny Hostin, along with area business and community leaders and 2021/2022 Youth of the Year at their annual Fall Benefit Gala, to be hosted online on Wednesday, October 20th. The virtual event program will honor Ms. Hostin with the inaugural Boys & Girls Club of Mount Vernon Smart Girl Award for serving as a model for aspiring young women as they participate in a national Boys & Girls Club of America (BGCA) initative created to help them further their educational, life, and career goals.
This event will also honor Lowes Moore, Upstate NY Basketball Hall of Fame Inductee and former Executive Director of Development, Boys & Girls Club of Mount Vernon with the Lifetime Achievement Award; Dawna Michelle Fields, Director Operations & Community Affairs -North America -Bright Smiles, Bright Futures at Colgate-Palmolive, Corporate Citizen Award; Irene & Richard Gossett, founder and CEO RDG Global, Family Community Service Award; Feeding Westchester, Community Partner Award; and Jah’kell Hancock, Youth of the Year Award. Jah’kell will receive a $1000 scholarship from the Club.
