Clay Art Center Fall Exhibition Opening Reception

Join Clay Art Center (40 Beech Street, Port Chester, NY) on Thursday, September 15th from 6 – 8pm for their opening reception for “The Family Portrait” Exhibition. Meet the artists and enjoy light refreshments. This exhibition explores the family unit in contemporary culture and society. Guest juried by Kukuli Velarde, it presents the work of ceramic artists drawn from across the United States. By using historical and cultural references in works that range from figurative to functional, and conceptual to playful, these artists invite us into a deeper conversation about the shifting landscape of the family unit. Free guided tours of the exhibition every Wednesday at 11:30am starting 9/7. The exhibition is on view in the gallery and online from September 1 – October 15.
