Dear NPW Community:
Nonprofit Westchester has signed on to a letter to New York's Congressional Delegation on behalf of New York's nonprofits. This letter was drafted by Nonprofit New York in partnership with a coalition of New York City area organizations.
The Board of Directors of Nonprofit Westchester made this decision as the letter addresses many critical areas of concern including future stimulus funding targeted to nonprofits, stimulus funding for nonprofits with more than 500 employees, attention to the specific concerns of immigrant communities, and federal relief for our state, city and county budget deficits.
We hope your organization will sign on to this letter. Additionally, we hope you will use it in your advocacy with your Federal elected officials by phone and/or email (both are very effective), and to educate your board members, volunteers, clients and business partners so they can support these efforts.
NPW is keeping up to date on vital issues specific to nonprofits and the people we serve. For greatest impact, we are working with coalitions and partners in Westchester, New York State and Nationally.
