Westchester Re-opening on Tuesday, May 26th: Phase One

Dear Nonprofit Westchester Community:

Governor Cuomo announced that the first day of Phase One "re-opening" for the Mid-Hudson Region, which includes Westchester County, will happen on Tuesday, May 26th.

Last week, NPW held a webinar on the "Nuts and Bolts" of re-opening, a copy of which is available for free to all Nonprofit Westchester Members. Please email Suzanne Gardos if you are a member and would like a copy of the presentation and/or recording.

As always, please contact me with any questions you many have. If I do not know the answers, I will do my best to find out.

Best regards,
Jan

The Region’s Regional Control Room

Re-opening will be gradual, with an anticipated two-week evaluation between each stage. The Region’s Regional Control Room will monitor the opening from our regional perspective. The Regional Control board includes, among others, County Executive George Latimer, Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano, and President of the Westchester-Putnam AFL-CIO Tom Carey. Each business and industry must have a plan to protect employees and consumers, make the physical work space safer and implement processes that lower the risk of infection in the business. I will provide more detailed information in another email this coming week.
