MorDance is a trailblazing, women-led ballet company dedicated to advancing accessibility, diversity, and creativity in ballet while fostering empowered environments for artistic expression. Since its founding in 2013, the company has been known for creating groundbreaking original works, performing on prominent New York stages, and leading youth outreach initiatives in under-resourced communities across the city.
Founded by former ballerina Morgan McEwen in 2014, MorDance has a unique perspective on the power of dance to inspire audiences and create meaningful connections. Their repertoire transforms contemporary themes into captivating movement, encouraging greater civic engagement and social responsibility.
As MorDance looks into the future to build its new home in Yonkers, the company is thrilled to become an integral part of the vibrant arts community in both the city of Yonkers and Westchester County.
