Financial Management Learning Lab

A two-day financial management training will provide you with tools to better understand and implement best practices specific to nonprofit financial management. Specialized curriculum will include:

  • Introduction to the Components of Nonprofit Financial Management
  • Structure of the Accounting System (Chart of Accounts)
  • Reporting by Program Area
  • Restricted Income
  • Cash versus Accrual Accounting
  • Budgeting and Types of Budgets
  • Financial Reports
  • Budget Comparison Reports
  • Balance Sheets
  • Cash Flow Projections
  • Control of Restricted Grants & Contracts
  • Financial Analysis
  • Key Performance Indicators
  • Ratios
